Start the server and check its status in Overview before joining.

Copy the shown address
Copy the server address from the list or Overview, including the host and the port the platform assigned.

Add it in Minecraft
Open the matching Minecraft edition and version, then add the copied server address.

Share with friends
Share the address with friends. Add their player names first if whitelist is enabled.
